Michael J. Lloyd, 69, of Carbondale, died Thursday.
Born in Carbondale, son of the late Wright II and Eleanor VanVorst Lloyd, he graduated Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale. Prior to retirement, he had been employed as a truck driver for Baumann's. He was a fourth degree Knight and former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 7622, Jermyn, and a social member of the Black Diamond Hose Company, Archbald.
Surviving are his five children, Erin, Michelle, Rachel, Katie and Michael; two sisters, Annmarie Phillips and companion, David Trinchera; and Alice Millon and husband, Richard; four brothers, John Lloyd, Robert Lloyd, Charles Lloyd; and William Lloyd and his wife, Lisa; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by an infant son; a granddaughter, Alicia Lloyd; three brothers, James, Wright Joseph and Kenneth Raymond Lloyd; and a sister, Barbara Estes.
The funeral will be Wednesday with services at 4 p.m. in the Brennan & Brennan Funeral Home Inc., 55 Lincoln Ave., Carbondale. Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m.
