Nicholas J. "Stubby" Rosselli III of Spring Brook Twp. passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022. He fought long and hard with his daughters, son-in-law and friends by his side.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Nicholas II and Shirley Ann (Farling) Rosselli. Nicholas graduated from North Pocono High School in 1977 and before his early retirement, he worked as a forklift operator at Kane Warehousing for 25 years. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion at Wilson-Conklin Post 579 in Moscow and the John J. Michaels Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5207 in Covington Twp.
Nicholas was a spitfire and his personality was larger than life. As an avid Steelers fan, he looked forward to watching Sunday football games. Nicholas couldn't wait to get outside and soak up the sun, watch the birds, cast a line for his next big catch or find that elusive trophy buck. Camping with his friends at Secluded Acres Campground, road trips to Bethel Woods and going to festivals with Natalie were times that Nicholas looked forward to. He loved listening to music, especially The Grateful Dead, but most important to him was spending time making cherished memories with his girls.
Nicholas is survived by his children, Sierra Edwards and her husband, Christopher of Spring Brook Twp., Allison Rosselli of Spring Brook Twp. and Elizabeth Dutka and Stephen of Spring Brook Twp.; his grandchildren, Shane Albert and Annalise Louise Dutka; his brothers, Anthony "Bananas" Suriano of Spring Brook Twp., Christopher Rosselli of Wilkes-Barre and Dave Wagner of Covington Twp.; and the beloved mother of his girls, Maryann Reese of Spring Brook Twp.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 9 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes & Cremation Services LLC, 3 First St., Spring Brook Twp.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Sons of the American Legion, Post 579, 111 Church St., Moscow PA 18444. To share your fondest memories of Nicholas, please visit the funeral home's website or Facebook page.
