Philip Mosolino Obituary

Philip Mosolino, 58, of Carbondale, died Saturday at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center after an illness. He and his wife, Michele (Wormuth) Mosolino, would have celebrated 30 years of marriage on May 25.

Born in Pottsville, son of the late Mark and Nancy (McGrory) Mosolino, he was a proud veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps. Phil shared a love for skiing with his family and friends as a proud member of the Elkaholics. He enjoyed spending time in his backyard with his family, swimming, relaxing in the hot tub, and having barbecues or picnics. Phil always brought a smile to everyone's face and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are son, Philip and wife, Alyssa, Carbondale; daughter, Makaila, Simpson; four brothers, Tony, Texas; Mark "Max" and wife, Jennifer, New York; Joseph, Washington; Michael and wife, Julie, New York; sister, Ann Mittmann and husband, Frank, Pennsylvania; stepmother, Lois Mengel, Pennsylvania; granddaughter, Rory; several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

A blessing service will be Thursday at 6 p.m. from the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., 74 N. Main St., Carbondale. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Masks are required and social distancing rules will be in effect.
