Robert J. "Bob" Healey of Taylor passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2023 at the age of 65.
Born in Scranton on Aug. 21, 1957, son of the late Robert Healey and the late Ann Marie McGarry Healey. Bob was a graduate of Bishop Klonowski High School and the University of Scranton with a bachelor's degree in History. Bob took pride in his dedication to Price Chopper Corporation and the good friends he made there over the years, as well as coaching Taylor Little League and Triboro Soccer. His love for his family came above all else, but the New York Yankees, Miami Dolphins, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Buffalo Sabres were a close second.
Surviving is his wife Ruth of 27 years and son, Bob of Taylor. Also, his grandsons, Carson and Elijah Healey whom he deeply cherished. Brothers, William of San Francisco, Calif. and Richard of Herndon Va. Also, his loving Aunt Judi Czankner of Scranton, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his dearly missed sisters, Kathy Lewis and Donna Healey.
A memorial service to be held Saturday, April 1 at 12 p.m. in the Miller Bean Funeral Home Inc., 436 Cedar Ave. Friends and family may pay their respects Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bob's memory to American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692; or American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
