Sheldon Klein Obituary
Born and raised in Scranton, son of the late Benjamin and Libby Klein, he was a graduate of Central High School and the University of Scranton. Before retirement, he was the owner of Klein Binding Co., Scranton. He was a member of Machzikeh Hadas Congregation.
His family thanks the many doctors, nurses and staff of Moses Taylor Hospital and the Jewish Home for going above and beyond with all the loving care shown to Sheldon.
Also surviving are a son, Dr. Bruce Klein and wife, attorney Jeannie Engel, Potomac, Md.; two daughters, Dr. Laurie Kasdan and husband, Jerry, Teaneck, N.J.; and Dr. Marci Benheim and husband, Dr. Alan Benheim, Fairfax, Va.; eight grandchildren, Michael, Daniel and Alexander Kasdan; Jake and David Klein; and Jaime, Coby and Talia Benheim; a brother, Anchel Klein, Israel; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Pearl Edelstein; and three brothers, Bernard, Seymour and attorney Philip Klein.
The funeral will be today at 1 p.m. in the Ziman Funeral Home Inc., 612 E. Gibson St., with services by Rabbi Mordekhai Fine. Interment, Dalton Jewish Cemetery.
Shiva will be observed at the family residence, 535 Monroe Ave. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania, 1101 Vine St., 18510; Machzikeh Hadas Congregation, Monroe Avenue and Olive Street, 18510; or to the donor's favorite charity.

We recall with great fondness the life and times of Sheldon Klein.
He was a great guy. He always did for others. I have vivid memories of my parents Gert and Nat Berman visiting with you in Scranton.
