William Fallat, 91, of Dickson City, died at Allied Skilled Nursing Facility, Scranton on Monday, June 26, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence Wisneski Fallat. She died on July 12, 1996.
Born in Dickson City, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Halenda Fallat, and he was a former member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, Olyphant. He was a graduate of Dickson City High School and, prior to retirement, he was employed in the garment industry by Archbald Sewing. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a social member of VFW Shopa Davey Post 6082, Peckville, and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 11, Dickson City.
Bill and his wife, Florence, were a very active couple throughout their marriage. He was involved with the Boy Scouts with his sons for many years. He enjoyed football, bowling and golf. His most enjoyment was playing his guitar for his family and local polka bands. After Florence passed, he continued polka dancing, meeting a special companion, Marion Falbo. They too didn't miss a step. He certainly knew how to make people laugh with his stories. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.
