Bill McDowell Obituary
Bill Weber McDowell, Jr. ("B. Dub" and "Nappy Chin") departed this life Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the age of 72.
He was born October 14, 1941 to Bill and Lora McDowell in Bellaire, Ohio. He was baptized in Jesus name at the age of nine.
Bill attended schools in Bellaire where he graduated from Bellaire High. He enlisted in the United States Army where he served until his honorable discharge. He then moved to Port Huron in 1961 where he worked until his retirement.
His favorite hobby was cooking and barbecuing. There was never a get-together or party that you didn't see B. Dub cooking and bossing everyone around. We will all miss his cooking and his mouth.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his children, Bill McClarty, Wilbert Roland and Stacey McDowell Akers; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Donald Joseph (Marcy) McDowell; aunts, Mary Mattie Thomason, Mildred Roland and Geraldine Hutchins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and most of Port Huron. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carolyn McDowell Galloway; and brother, Dale George McDowell.
Memorial services will be 11 am Friday, July 25, 2014 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visiting beginning at 10 am. The Reverend Anthony King will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the United States Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard. Burial will take place in Rose Hill Cemetery, Belmont, Ohio.
