Edward Erb Obituary

Edward C. Erb Lexington Edward Clarence Erb, age 89, died Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Medi Lodge of Yale. He was born March 30, 1923 in Detroit, to the late Edward and Helen Erb. He married Julia Conlee on April 6, 1989 in Port Sanilac. Ed gave up an offer with the Detroit Tigers to serve in the Coast Guard from 1942 until 1946. He worked for Detroit Edison, retiring at the age of 62. In addition to his devotion to his wife and family, Ed was an avid sportsman, he loved hunting and fishing his entire life. Ed exemplified his love and trust in his Lord by the life that he lived to all who knew him. Surviving are his loving wife of 23 years Julia. Children Colleen (Terry) Meloan, Sue (Roy) McAllister, Patricia (Jeff) Dawson, Dr. Fred (Patsy) Conlee, and David Conlee. 20 grandchilren, and 14 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Joyce Moeller McBee, and his sisters Vivian Keyster, and Alice McDuff. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 30, 2012 in the Pomeroy Funeral Home, Lexington. Inurnment will take place at Lexington Cemetery Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. Monday, and noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
