James Parr Obituary

James F. "Jamie" Parr Kimball Twp. James F. "Jamie" Parr, age 37, of Kimball Twp., passed away on April 19, 2009.He was born on May 2, 1971 in Port Huron. Jamie graduated from Port Huron High School and was employed with the Port Huron Area School District. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. Jamie was a fan of the Detroit Red Wings. He is survived by his parents, Francis and Sandy Parr of Kimball; sister and brother-in-law, Stacy and Jim Gross of Arizona; sister and brother-in-law, Brandy and Ali Jaber of Dearborn; sister and brother-in-law, Erin and Mike Mirza of Dearborn; nieces and nephews: Zach, Hassan, Madison, Conor, Nadine, Mya and Danny; grandmother, Betty Williams of Kimball; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and best friend, Andy Schultz of Kimball. Jamie was preceded in death by his grandfather, LeRoy Williams; grandmother, Mae Parr; aunt, Nancy Parr; and the love of his life, his dog, Lady who passed away in February. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Jowett Funeral home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th Street, Port Huron. Interment will be in Caswell Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Wednesday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.; Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Chuck Parr, Kevin Parr, Scott Parr, Ali Jaber, Mike Mirza and Andy Schultz. Memorial tributes may be made to the Wishes of the Family. www.jowettfuneraldirectors.com.
