Much of my childhood was spent with you. Eating pickles. Drawing moustaches on the celebrities in the Enquirer. Watching old episodes of Petticoat Junction. Gardening. Playing with puppies. Watching birds. Shopping for school clothes in Canada. Playing Crazy Eights. And setting up card tables for your euchre parties. You were the best cook I've ever known.

I can only hope that Oscar will have the same great memories with his grandparents as I've had with you. He has this love of birds and puppies that I can't explain. And I'm sure most toddlers are fascinated with all animals, but I like to think that it's genetic and was passed to him through you and Grandpa.

I hope you gave Grandpa the biggest hug and kiss when you saw him for the first time in heaven. I'm sure he's missed you like crazy. I know I have.

Grandma, this is for you. I'm glad we had a really nice last visit. It was great that you let me wheel you around. You let me give you a tour of the Regency. After our tour, you asked an aide if she gave tours. That was cute. We shared a few laughs together that day.

Grandma and Grandpa 2002

Survived by her Grandchildren; Mary, Dee, Diane, Michele, and Allan.

Our vivacious Grandma excelled at cooking, cards, and practical jokes.

She was a unique Grandma. From her red hair, leopard print shirts, and purple tinted glasses to her dynamic personality. She was a force to be reckoned with.

She taught me how to garden, short sheet a bed (poor grandpa), and to make her "infamous" pie crust.

I am grateful for all the time we spent together. I will miss her laugh the most.
