Kenneth James Obituary

Kenneth Wayne James Sparky Kenneth Wayne James of Lubbock left this earth to join his grandparents, Ray and Stella James, on Oct. 27, 2011. The son of Freddy and Shirley James, Kenneth was born March 4, 1964, in Levelland, Texas. Kenny, also known as KJ in his earlier years, graduated from Levelland High School in 1982. He worked as an electrician for 22 years in Lubbock, Texas. Kenny married his soul mate, Melinda Marie Popham. He served in the United States Navy from April 1986 through February 1989. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Freddy and Shirley James; his wife, Melinda; his children, Tiffany Kay James and Garrett Ray James of Lubbock, Texas; stepchildren, Latecia Sauceda and Chad Sauceda; two sisters, Carla Lambright of Plainview, Texas, and Becky Mowery of Lubbock, Texas; and two grandchildren, Carson Glen of Lubbock, Texas, and Zayden Michael. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, in Combest Family Funeral Homes Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. Please celebrate the life of Kenneth by visiting www.combestfamilyfuneralhomes.com.

So sorry to hear about Kenny. I have such wonderful memories when he and Joe Don were in school together. Kenny was special to us.
