Kenneth Stimac Obituary

Kenneth J. Stimac Port Huron Kenneth J. Stimac, 74, died Sunday, September 18, 2011. He was born August 12, 1937, in Port Huron to the late Joseph and Lydia Stimac. He attended St. Christopher Catholic School and graduated from Marysville High School. Ken was employed as an autoworker. He was a member of UAW local 5960 and retired in 1995. He then followed his dream of collecting antiques and was the proprietor of Ken's Antiques in Avoca for more than 15 years. He was a hockey fan and traveled yearly to Florida to see his children. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Cheryl (Andy Smith) Stimac, Stephen (Bea) Stimac, Joseph Stimac, and Douglas (Adrianna Dos Santos) Stimac; his grandchildren, Ian (Jennifer) Humble, Melissa Stimac, Neil (Katie) Stimac and Matheus Stimac; niece, Kim Stimac Vollstadg; and nephews, Shawn Stimac, Shane (Miranda) Stimac, and their children Avery and Wyatt, Wayne (Gail) Stimac. The family would also like to deeply thank his life partner, Sharon Evenson; her children, Ken, Lewis and Nancy Evenson; and grandchildren, Remy and Isabella Evenson and Falyn Smith for the love and care of their father and uncle. He was preceeded in death by his brothers, Tom, Ed and Wayne Stimac. His remains will be cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.
