Goodbye Patrick -- Our paths first crossed more than 60 years ago. I remember while at St. Christopher's Elementary School that George, your father, was indeed a proud poppa. All who knew you over the years felt your charms and ready smile. It seemed that each time I returned to visit Port Huron our paths would cross again. And each time there was always a mutual feeling of an easy low-maintenance friendship. You have countless friends Pat, and I feel fortunate to be one of them.
I wish I could have been at your funeral to say goodbye one more time to you in person. Who knows, maybe we will be meeting again "on the other side"...

Pat Cary was a wonderful person, always smiling and caring. I was a student at woodland development center. Pat was always there for everyone who needed a friend not just as a staff. He would always be there to listen when you needed to talk, or just needed some help with some other things to get through the day. I know because he got me through many days that I didn't think I could get through. Pat will be missed.

I was very sad to hear about the passing of your dad - he sounds like a great man. After reading about his love of music it made me wonder what song he would have playing as he strolled through the pearly gates? I bet you have a pretty good idea. Pat always had a bright smile, kind heart and great laugh. As a former WDC staff I benefitted so much from his encouragement when I returned to school. He always had time to cheer me on, thank you Pat! I will never forget it.

Dear Kathy and Family: I was so sorry to read this morning that Pat had passed. I am so very glad I was able to talk to him a couple of weeks ago. To tell him how much I enjoyed our families growing up together. He found his niche in life and a wonderful wife and together you were blessed with 3 children and 7 grand children. He has left his mark on anyone who had met him. Now he is with the angels and will be watching over us all with all our other angels. Pat, will be missed by your family as well as those who knew and loved him. We will continue to keep you all in my prayers. Was saddened to hear of our loss, though Heaven's gain. Pat had great wit and a fun sense of humor, and i will miss talking with him. He was a blessing to our community as well as to his family, whom he clearly loved and cherished. My condolences and sincere sympathies are with them, though we recognize that Pat's life here was certainly one to rejoice over.

I am a mother of a student at Woodlands. Pat was the first person at Woodlands that we met. I was still in denial and not sure if Woodlands was where we belonged. As Pat showed us through the school, we witnessed the impact he had on the students and staff. I realized through him, without a doubt, that this is where we belonged. It was also that day I realized what a wonderful man he was and made me tremendously proud to call Woodlands our home away from home! We will carry on his legacy, passion and love for Woodlands in his memory! My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of such a great man to find peace with his passing.

We lost a wonderful caring man. Pat was one of the best. He knew our family for all our years at St. Christopher was always there for us. Sorry, I cannot be there but he will be in my heart forever. Terrible loss. My Prayers are with family and friends which are many.
