Houston, TX
Steven Henry Hafer, 34, of Houston, Texas and formerly of Marysville, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 2, 2017.
He was born December 23, 1982 in Saginaw to Paul H. and Cheryl A. Hafer.
Steven graduated from Marysville High School and earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He was employed with J.D. Abrams, L.P. where they specialize in public works infrastructure projects.
He is survived by his daughter, Ariana Thien Hafer; and parents, Paul H. and Cheryl A. Hafer.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 18, 2017 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. The Reverend Marty Doorn will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeport Cemetery, Burtchville Township. Pallbearers will be Justin Tetreau, Caleb Tetreau, Michael Tassie, Jacob Brown, Zack Stencil and Josh Becker.
Memorials may be made to Gideons International.

Yes, he was the most wonderful nephew an Aunt could have. I am so proud to call him my nephew! We will miss and love you forever!! There will always be a hole in our hearts until we are all reunited in Heaven someday to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!!

Dear Cheryl & Paul,
We were so saddened to hear of Steven's passing. We have memories of him at the Christian school, as he was in the class with our daughter Becca. I know how proud you were of him and his daughter. I regret we were not able to attend his funeral, but want you to know you have been in our thoughts and prayers over the past few weeks. We hope you feel the comfort of our Lord during this very difficult time.
