Vernon Dupree Obituary
Burtchville Township
Vernon L. Dupree, 86, of Burtchville Township, died Friday, December 26, 2014.
He was born October 21, 1928 in Port Huron to the late Joseph E. and Blanche Dupree. He married Mary Louise Cameron on October 24, 1953 in Port Huron. She preceded him in death on August 25, 2013.
Mr. Dupree was employed with Dunn Paper until his retirement. He enjoyed camping, watching sports and sitting under the Blue Water Bridge watching the freighters.
He is survived by his son, David (Joni) Dupree; daughter, Julie Coffelt; granddaughters, Emily and Rachel Dupree, and Amanda Coffelt; sister, Darlene VanHoose; sisters-in-law, Wanda Dupree and Patricia Williamson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Donald Dupree.
Visiting will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Caswell Cemetery. Military honors will be under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

I have many fond memories of my Grandpa. I sometimes look around and expect to see him there, waiting to jokingly whack me in the head with a rolled up newspaper. I'm fortunate that he got to see all of us graduate high school. Although he won't see me get married, I can take comfort in knowing him and Grandma will be watching over us.
Keep Grandma company, Grandpa. I'll see you both soon.
