Alfred Michaels Obituary
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Shelby Michaels, who survives and the son of Clarence Colon Michaels and Georgia Hunter Michaels, both deceased.
Mr. Michaels was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles.
He was a member of the Haw River American Legion where he formerly served as Commander.
Mr. Michaels retired as a construction worker with Campbell Construction.
After retirement, he worked at Byrd's Food Stores and Copland Fabrics.
In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include a daughter, Wanda Anderson and husband Rick of Orlando, FL; three step-children, Amy Eastwood, Tammy Murray and Penny Simmons, all of Burlington; seven grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; and a brother, Johnnie Michaels of Burlington.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. Dan Ficklin.
Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
