Shirley Foster Obituary

BURLINGTON - Shirley B. Foster, 82, of Burlington, passed away peacefully among her family on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at the Hospice and Palliative Care Home of Alamance-Caswell.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Wilber Harden Foster Sr. and daughter of the late Frank Edward Baldwin and the late Ruth Bowman Baldwin. She formerly worked at Shillelagh Golf Course and at the Westbrook Animal Hospital.
Her survivors include four daughters, Becky Foster of Burlington, Mary Faye Porch and her husband Mike of Statesville, Pattie Snead and her husband John of Graham and Edie Kadoche of Greensboro; three sons, James Foster of Snow Camp, Eddie Foster of Burlington and W. H. Foster Jr. of Alamance County; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter Ruth Ann Foster; one son, Mark Foster; and two sisters.
The graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 unto 2:30 p.m. prior to the graveside service at the Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
