Timothy Dodson Obituary
Timmy is predeceased by his parents, Bobby and Billie Faye Dodson.
Timmy is survived by his wife Donna of 35 years; sons Dustin (Jessica) and Dean (Trisha); granddaughters Makinlee and Allison; 6 brothers and a sister; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Timmy was a native of Mebane, NC. He graduated from Eastern Alamance High School in 1976 and went on to join the Navy in July 1977. He served 27 years and was honorably discharged as a Chief Warrant Officer Four (CWO4).
After retiring from the Navy, he went on to open and operate Dodson's Service Center in Mebane.
Visitation hours from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. immediately followed by the funeral service at Mebane United Methodist Church, 200 South Fourth Street, Mebane, NC on Wednesday, October 26, 2016.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers a donation be made to the Eastern Alamance Field House, Inc., 4040 Mebane Rodgers Rd, Mebane, NC 27302 in memory of Timothy Dodson or the Aviation Boatswain's Mates Association (ABMA) Scholarship Fund c/o Mr. Terry L. New, 3193 Glastonbury Drive Virginia Beach, Virginia 23453.

This is a tuff time of year, I lost my dearest friend Tim and my sister this month and I miss them both dearly. Timmy was a great man, friend and brother that I had the pleasure to share many wonderful memories with in the 35 years we knew each other. He was always quick to say love ya now! before saying goodbye.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss, and my heart hurts when I think about what you and your family are enduring.
Tim was a great person. He was dedicated to his family, his country, and his community. I am deeply appreciative that I had the opportunity to share a role in his life at Eastern High School. I watched him mature and become the type of soldier, husband, and father that anyone could not help but admire.
I shall miss his dedication, zest for life, laughter, and forever smiling face.
As you go through these difficult times, remember that there are many people who love and respect the Dodson family. I also love and cherish the many years that the Dodson family have been a part of my life.

Donna and the Dodson Family,
It was my honor and privilege to have taught all of you at Eastern High School.
I vividly remember all the times of laughter and celebration as I watched each of you mature into fantastic people, and I am proud to have had the opportunity to share in each of your lives.
Tim was an extraordinary person with a zest for life that was inspiring to anyone around him. I shall miss his honesty, integrity, laughter, and his respect for others. His smile, genuine wit, and his love for life was unparalleled by any standards. I will always remember the tremendous amount of dedication he showed for the things in which he believed. He honored his family, his community, and his country by the life that he led.
I know that you are all hurting right now, but I want you all to remember that through it all, Tim touched everyone that he met in a special way. He was a soaring Eagle, a devoted family man, a true soldier, and a friend that I will always remember!!!
Tim, I personally thank you for the pleasure of having known you.

The world has lost one great man! Your family is in my thoughts and prayers in this time and the times to come. This was one man that always had a smile and a kind word every time I seen him. He would always make make you laugh and make your day a bit better. Never forget a a face and full of life.
