William Forrest Jr. Obituary

BURLINGTON - William "Doug" Douglas Forrest, Jr. age, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born November 24, 1944 in Greenville, SC to the late William Douglas Forrest, Sr. and Virginia Bryant Forrest. He was the husband of Ellen Holland Forrest. Doug had served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from Honda Power Equipment and was a member of Holly Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen of Burlington; daughters, Julie F. and Bob Gilboe of Commerce Township, Michigan and Lisa F. and David Moore of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; granddaughter, Grace H. Moore. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Holly Hill Baptist Church, 2818 Edgewood Avenue, Burlington, NC 27215.
