Ms. Darla Elaine Garri-
son Chappelear, age 62, of
Toccoa, passed away Fri-
day, Oct. 3, 2025, at North-
east Georgia Medical Cen-
ter in Gainesville, Ga.
Born April 9, 1963, in
Decatur, Ga., she was the
daughter of Harriett
Denise Cowan Fain (Ron-
nie) and the late Freddy
Lane Garrison.
Ms. Chappelear was a
cashier and server at Dol-
lar Tree, Chick-Fil-A, Mc-
Donalds, Walmart, West-
ern Sizzlin, Quincy's,
Quality Foods and Pings.
She was a member of The
Pointe Church.
Family members in-
clude her sons, Austin
Henson (Alexis), of Easley,
S.C., Aaron Chappelear
(Jana), of Toccoa, Randy
Chappelear, Jr. (Courtney)
and Ronny Chappelear;
grandchildren, Aubri
Chappelear, Bentley Chap-
pelear, Mason Chappelear,
Robert Chappelear, Alex
Chappelear and Colt
Lance; sisters, Angie Gar-
rison Howard and Rebecca
Garrison; half-sister, Kim-
berly Shipman; special
nephews and niece, An-
drew, Adam and Adrianne
Williams; previous hus-
bands and caregivers,
Randy Chappelear, Sr. and
Stan Henson; and numer-
ous other nieces, nephews,
great-nieces and great-
nephews.
In addition to her fa-
ther, she was preceded in
death by her brother,
Heath Garrison.
A celebration of life was
held at 5 p.m. Monday,
Oct. 6, 2025, at The Pointe
Church with pastor Chad
Smith officiating. Ms.
Chappelear loved the
Georgia Bulldogs, so the
family requests that every-
one wear red and black to
the service.
