Dear Maxwell, Merisha and Mandi,
I was saddened to hear of Lou's death. I would have loved to see her during my short visit to Louisiana this past week, but Lou was already in Houston for what I thought was going to be a check up. Instead I must treasure all the good memories she has given me over the years, the last one when she, Wanda, and I went to Sharon Smith's grave this past June. Lou was an amazing woman, a faithful friend, and a dependable, capable and trustworthy employee who brought a balance to the group, who helped anyone who was in need, who mentored those younger than her by listening to them and giving them advice. She loved St. Mary's and the children, and she did her best to help caring for them. Certainly you know how much she loved you, her daughters, and Maxwell, her grandchild! She did everything with you in mind and was proud of you. She wanted for Maxwell to be able to remember her, and I'm sure he will never forget the love of his grandma. We have already offered Mass and prayers for Lou, and I will continue to pray for her and ask her to continue to help me from heaven. She was a woman of deep faith and I'm sure she is now close to the Lord. Though in Italy, I'm with you in prayer. Sending my love.

Mandi, Merisha, and entire family...
So, so, sad for Aunt Lou's passing. Just a gut wrenching feeling for me and the family so far away from everyone. Aunt Lou was always so positive, loving, and caring as a person. The last time the family and I were in Lafayette and got to be with her was very, very nice. My family really felt her warmth and pure, geniune character. We all feel a little empty with her passing. She's at peace now and we all know she's with her family in heaven now. God Bless her and all of you. She raised a wonderful family.

Love all of you,
Brian, Francine, Brianna, Brandon

My heart is broken and my sadness is great at the loss of one of the sweetest women I have ever met. Lou struggled and suffered so much during her illness but she didn't complain. I am so glad I had the chance to see her a short time ago, hug her and tell her I loved her. I cannot begin to know what to say to offer comfort to all of you. She will be missed but now, she suffers no more. She is with our Lord Jesus Christ. Love you all and my prayers will be with each of you.
