Dorothy and family,
My deepest sympathy is with you all.
I never met Jerry in person but feel like I know him. I got to know him years ago thru his geneology research when he was researching the Neal family. After we found out that we were distant cousins we kept in touch thru email. He also called me when my dad was dying in the hospital and I could tell he was a fine man.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

When I heard that Jerry had passed I was deeply saddened. I never met Jerry face to face or shook his hand, but I felt that I knew him. I first heard him on the radio many years ago and more recently on 3747 every evening. He was a good person, friendly to all, and always had a special kind of wit and humor that was uniquely his. He will be missed very much. 73’s Jerry. KB5DS

Dear Dorthy,
I can't tell you how much Jerry will be missed. Everyone will hold precious memories of him throughout the Ham community but to me I will always hold dear memories of Jerry being my Wolfman Jack. His humor has brought a smile to my face many times. I can't express enough how much he will be missed and thought of always. You are always in my prayers. My heart goes out to you in this time of loss. Jerry will always live on in our hearts and wonderful memories.
Love and God bless you.

Today, with profound sorrow, i bid farewell to a very dear friend. In many ways, he was like a brother to me, always understanding and ready to help in any way that he could. The fond memories of the time we spent together will be with me for the rest of my life.

KB5PN (Jerry) he will be missed by all. He was one of the most humble person you could meet. I got to know him through Amateur Radio, he welcome me like he did everyone else that crossed the airwaves. I traveled to the Mena Hamfest a few years back to meet him and his wife. He was always handing out the homemade Mayhaw Jelly, the best ever made. Jerry will truly be missed. Friends Always - KK2O - Randy Neilson

I have known Jerry for over 40 years.. We first met when we were just kids in trade school together. We had both just recently finished our military obligation and were attending school under the G.I.Bill.. When we finished school we went our separate ways.. Our paths crossed many years later on the Amateur Radio airwaves.. We renewed our friendship and have remained close friends since.. Our favorite non-ham related activity was exchanging emails.. What fun we had..

Jerry, I will miss you very much, but I know you're in a better place where there's no pain and suffering.. God's speed my friend..

I have only met Jerry once, maybe 6-7 years ago, but talk to him every night...check us out 10:30 to midnight. Jerry could smile on the radio...and did all the time!!! He'll be missed a bunch.

I see with my eyes, yet I never saw Jerry in person. I hear with my ears, yet I never heard Jerry in person. I feel with my hands, yet I never touched Jerry’s hands in person. I only heard Jerry’s voice coming over my radio speaker. I only saw Jerry by looking at the pictures he sent. I never touched Jerry’s hand, but he touched me. He continues to touch all of us in ways that are often difficult to understand. The magic of Ham Radio brings us closer together. Ham Radio allows not only voices but our spirits to soar over the airwaves. Ham Radio unites us like nothing else. We come from different locations, different backgrounds, different races and different economic situations. And yet, we celebrate our similarities and not our differences. Jerry’s spirit continues to be among us. There is no suffering where he is. No need for the counting of pills. No sleepless nights. No pain. Just peace. That peace that passes all understanding. I choose to believe that we hear Jerry’s voice every time we help another struggling ham. Every time we make a new friend over the airwaves. That is when Jerry’s voice is heard and is proof enough for me that Jerry is still among us. Instead of his voice coming over our speakers, his voice is now in our hearts. Thanks Jerry for making this world just a little bit better. You are deeply missed. 73 John KG9F

Jerry, KB5PN, was one of the kindess men I have ever run into. He sent me several pieces of equipment for my HAM shack when he heard I was trying to get set up better. He flatly refused payment and even apologized for the condition of some of the equipment. Just the kind of guy he was.
