Larry Eli Obituary
Mr. Larry Lane Eli, Sr., 59, of Alexandria passed away on October 10, 2010 at Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria.
He attended Crepe Myrtle High School and was drafted into the U.S. Army. He was employed with International Paper Mill for 37 years. He was also a fisherman of nothing but BASS.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Wilbert Eli, Sr. and two brothers Audrey James Eli "Tatum" and John Eli "Mun".
Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Thelma Eli; daughters, LaShonda Spencer and Brenda Jackson; son, Larry Eli, Jr.; loving companion, Audrey Sanders; brothers, John, Wilbert Jr., Blake, Roger, Felton, James; sisters, Dora, Ella, Agnes, Patrica, Eileen, Barbara; aunt, Elviney Phillips; seven grandchildren.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service at the Church.

I knew Larry since the 1st grade at St James, he and I went to school together up until the time he went to Crepe Myrtle. The last time I spoke to Larry he was going fishing. I have a lot of fond memories about Larry and I want his family to know that he was a good person and I'm sorry to hear about their loss. May God be with each of his loved ones during this time, 'Rest in peace my brother'

I remember Larry "Hound Dog" from Lincoln Rd. Jr. High when he played basketball. He was one of the funniest players on the team and everyone loved him. As an adult I'm sure he was the same way. I am so sorry to hear about my friend. May God bless you and strenghten you in your time of sorrow.

Our god gives and he also takes what belongs to him. Those who are ready. My family please look to the cross, keep your faith and know that the entire Elie Family's love is with all of you.
Larry's memories will remain with us always. He was a caring and loving person always willing to give a helping hand. God's blessings to everyone and hold own to each other for there is strength in numbers of loving relatives.

To My Family, I am praying that god touch our hearts at the lost of Uncle Larry who loved us all unconditionally. Mostly, he loved Audrey who was there and who took care off him during his illness, never leaving his side and I am truly thankful for her being in his life. I am honored to have had him in my life, he was more than an uncle to me, he was a big brother. I pray that we find comfort in knowing that he is in heaven standing beside god and his father and brothers. He was a Great man and a great uncle and will miss him dearly. God please bless and keep our family always.
