Funeral services for Mr. Michael Wayne Juneau will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Paul M. Lapalme officiating at Mary Mother of Jesus Catholic Church, Woodworth, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Alexandria, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Michael Juneau, age 69, of Pineville passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the VA Medical Center, Pineville, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family.

Michael was a long time resident of Woodworth, La. He served his country in the US Army and was wounded in Vietnam in which he received two purple hearts. He then went on to work as a service officer for the Veteran Affairs Office for the State of Louisiana for 34 years, until he retired.

Michael was married to his longtime love Jane for 49 years. He had two children, Ken Juneau and Jodie Juneau Howard. Michael had five grandchildren; Justin Juneau, Haley Juneau, Cameron Howard, Roman Howard, and Isabella Howard. He was known to the community as a kind, gentle, and compassionate man. Always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. Michael was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed riding his tractor and hanging out with his sidekick little puppy Mikey. He will be greatly missed by many.

A Rosary will be recited Friday, September 8, 2017 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana at 7:00 p.m.

Friends may visit on Friday, September 8, 2017 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
