Dennis Edie Obituary
June 22, 1947 – July 23, 2024
Dennis Lee Edie passed away on July 23rd, 2024 in Sacramento, CA. He was 77 years old.
Dennis was born on June 22, 1947 in Alameda, CA to LeRoy and Alice Havlicek Edie. He graduated from San Loreno High School, San Lorenzo, CA. He studied photography at Laney College in Oakland, CA. He served in the Army National Guard for six years. He married Marcia Barnhill in 1968. They were blessed with two children, Jason Lee and Julie Anne. They had 56 wonderful years together.
He was in the grocery industry and in management in Lucky's Grocery Store for 34 years total. Upon retirement he enjoyed doing many activities with his wife and family. Dennis was the owner of Dennis' Tires and Chains for over 40 years.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his willingness to help others, his sensitivity and love of people, plus he always loved to hear a good joke and tell jokes to others.
Dennis is survived by his wife Marcia Edie, daughter Julie Anne Edie Ullom (Rob), son Jason Lee Edie (Michelle) and brother Gerald LeRoy Edie (Diana), five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. The grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of his life, he enjoyed being a Papa and a Great Papa.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents LeRoy and Alice Edie.
A Celebration of Life will be held September 10th at 1 PM at Twin Cities Church in Grass Valley, CA.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Twin Cities Church, Memorial Fund or a charity of your choice.

Dennis was good friends with my dad. I also took care of his parents at Golden Empire. This picture was from Tom Jepsons memorial. Dennis was a nice and funny guy. My condolences to his family.

Dennis and I worked at Luckys for many years. I also bought all my tires from him. He was such a wonderful friend. We always shared lots of jokes. When I was in the hospital he brought me candy and lots of magazines. He was so much fun to be around. He loved, hunting, traveling and his motorcycles. Most of all he loved God, his family and his many dogs. I will really miss him.
He is with God now, and we will all see him again.

Dennis was such a kind and gentle man. He would give me kind but specific directions backing out of his driveway when i dropped a car off for tires. I heard many stories about their travels in the RV. Marcia and Dennis had such a love for life. I was saddened to hear of this loss. Rest in Peace our friend.
