I know that I will get to see Louann again there in heaven. For now though...its sad. Louann, whether she knew it or not, was instrumental in inspiring and encouraging me. Louann is/was a great and loving person who raised a great and loving family.

A light has gone out among us.
Louanne Gallagher blessed my heart, to say nothing of the many benefits I enjoyed as she kept on being the hands and feet of Jesus.

I just read of Louann's passing. Louann and Bill were friends to my mother, Frances Thompson. I remember Mom talking about them lovingly. My deepest sympathy to Bill and family. I know my Mom welcomed Louann with open arms into heaven. Verna Hainer

Sweet Louann!! The Gallagher family were one of the first families we met when we started CBC in March 1969. They quickly became like family as we spent many Thanksgivings, Christmases and other special times together.
Louann's generosity, loving ways and kindness were unmatched. She was always there to serve, help and give. Very few people had the gift of hospitality like her. She was always willing to listen, send a caring text, give a warm hug or sound advice. I will deeply miss her hugs, sweet smile and that laugh of hers. She became like a second Mom. I'm sure she and my Mom have spent the last month catching up in heaven. Looking forward to spending eternity together :-)

I met Louann at church when I moved here in 1979. She was properly known as the "church mom". As has been noted she fed and took care of all who needed a warm meal, or a compassionate ear. She noticed needs that were not recognized by most. The most energetic person I ever knew. She was always ready to step in to help and amazing at organizing a band of helpers when there was a need. A wonderful teacher and example. I haven´t known a more widely talented person. She is greatly missed.

In the late 1960´s our family moved to Nevada City and we started attending Calvary Bible Church. For the next decade plus, we would spend Thanksgiving dinners with the Gallaghers. They began as friends, they became family. Louann was the epitome of hospitality (if you look up "hospitality" in the dictionary I´m sure you´ll see her photo in the column next to it). Her warm smile and infectious laugh would light up any room. James 2:15-16 asks the question, "If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, and one of you says to them, `Go in peace, be warmed and filled,´ without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?" Louann would say "be warm and filled" and then provide the needed warmth and necessary filling. I´ll miss her for now but look forward to seeing her again in the world to come!

Louann was my neighbor, she was friendly, generous, and always busy She grew and shared gorgeous Dahlias, but on Alpine Lane, we will remember her calls, in the early morning of new snow days, with a welcoming invite to share her scrumptious cinnamon rolls and her stories and hospitality. So sorry Bill for this great loss.

Louann was a mainstay at our church-taking charge of kitchen details in providing dinners for multiple large groups in a gracious manner. She was also musically talented, filling in to lead the choir when needed. She could lead with a helpful manner and encouragement, thus teaching others how to serve. We truly loved and respected her. She is greatly missed.

I love your statement that she was "a force of nature." She is one of the most well-suited and amazing Christian women I have known!
