Susan Frisch Obituary

SUSAN ELIZABETH FRISCH

November 7, 1971 to May 3, 2024

Our hearts are broken at the passing of our beautiful, dear daughter Susan, who died peacefully with her parents by her side. She was born November 7, 1971 in Sacramento, California. At the age of five days she was brought to her home in Grass Valley, California where she grew up and attended local schools. She continued her education at West Los Angeles College and majored in English Composition and Art.

Susan was multi-faceted, and had many friends that enjoyed her funny and sometimes macabre sense of humor. She impressed friends with her collection of Shakespearian insults, Edgar Allen Poe quotes, and witty one-liners. Her friends came from all ages and walks of life. She was particularly fond of elderly people and hearing their stories. She had a strong, sometimes outspoken personality, and was active in several groups regarding women's rights, politics and current events.

Susan enjoyed reading, and writing poetry and short stories, plus games, puzzles and trivia. She also enjoyed cooking, developing recipes, and sharing her culinary creations with friends. She worked in both retail and office administration, and later in life pursued her life-long dream of designing and making jewelry.

Susan is survived by her mother Laura (Strohbin) Cobler, step-father Kenneth Cobler, her uncles Lester and William Strohbin and great-uncle Fred Rollins, her aunt Donna Easter, cousins Julie, Kristine, Theresa and William and their families, and her Cobler family as well as many friends. She was preceded by the love of her life Justin Thompson, her beloved cousin Jesse Strohbin, and Sassy her dog.

There will be no memorial service as she requested. Any remembrance can be made at either the

SPCA or American Cancer Society.

Susan is dearly missed. I met Susan at work in 2012. We would laugh and take our breaks together. She is a special sole that lost the live of her life. We grew up in the same town together and the same streets and yet we didn't meet until years later. When she lost Justin, she kept on going with such a horrific passing. Rest in peace Susan... Until we meet again

Susan was such a lovely person- a beautiful and kind soul that we will all miss greatly! When I talked with her (which I only wish was more) I felt like I was conversing with a very wise and old soul. She just seemed to know things beyond what most people could understand or perceive and for this I was truly grateful that she was in our lives- a true and beautiful spirit that touched us all with her big heart and love of animals, her inner strength and light, her remarkable courage, sparkling eyes and peaceful spirit! She will always be with us and never far away. With our deepest condolences- Sis and Jim
