I worked with Mr. Pigott several years ago in getting some headstones for unmarked veterans that are buried in Pigott Cemetery. He was very considerate of the idea. Me and him met on several occasions but one time we met on a hot summer day we actually measured and stepped out an unmarked burial which ended up being marked with only a concrete block (just under the dirt) about 3 feet from one of his ancestor's graves. He said he never knew of that particular buried being there. Every time a headstone arrived from the V.A. he would always be there for the installation process. Thanks to Mr. Piggot some old soldiers are no longer forgotten.

I always enjoyed visiting with Paul. He was a great family historian. I will miss him.
