Tina Marie Johnson, 68, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2024, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 21, 1955, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to her loving parents Delfa Cantu and Joseph Benson.
Tina was preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul Johnson, with whom she shared many cherished moments until his passing on November 4, 2022. They were united in marriage at their home in Crawfordville, FL, in 2000, celebrated by close friends and family.
Tina also recently mourned the loss of her dear brother, William Benson, in 2023, with whom she shared a deep and cherished bond.
Tina will be missed by her stepson, Adam (Sarah) Johnson, and their two children, Owen and Emily, as well as her stepdaughter, Erin (Jason) Jawad, and her son, Quentin. Her love and guidance enriched their lives in countless ways.
Known for her warm heart and infectious laughter, Tina was a pillar of her community, church, and family. She had a deep love for all creatures, especially her faithful companions, Gizmo the dog and Sammy the cat.
Tina's professional journey was marked by her passion for connecting with people. For many years, she served as a waitress in the Crawfordville area, where her friendly demeanor and genuine interest in others endeared her to countless patrons. More recently, Tina found joy in managing their Airbnb property, where she excelled as a Super Host year after year. She took pride in creating memorable experiences for her guests and sharing the beauty of her home and surroundings.
Her love for nature and the outdoors was evident in her care for their picturesque property and home. Whether tending to her garden or exploring the trails nearby, Tina found solace and happiness in the embrace of the natural world.
Above all, Tina will be remembered for her ability to light up any room with her presence. Her laughter was contagious, and her kindness touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Tina had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Tina Marie Johnson leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will be cherished by her family, friends, and community. While we mourn her passing, we take comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Paul, in eternal peace.
