Catherine Manning Obituary
She was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Margaret Manning.
Catherine grew up in Westerly, graduated from Westerly High School in 1970 and Rhode Island College in 1974. She was employed as an Administrative Assistant for The Parsons Corporation in New York City for many years.
She will be sadly missed by her sister, Ellen Pumerantz and sister and brother-in-law Mildred and Norman Dion, all of Westerly. She also leaves six loving nieces and nephews and their spouses, Mark (Charlene) Carpenter, George (Pier) Carpenter, Ashley (Peter) Hendel, Gary (Jennifer) Dion, Amy (John) Dolahan and Andrew (Martha) Dion and many beloved great nieces and nephews. Catherine was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Herman Pumerantz.
A visiting hour will be held on Saturday from 11 a.m. -12 noon in Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Immediately following at 12:30 p.m., a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm St., Westerly. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Johnnycake Center of Westerly or the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o Immaculate Conception Church in Catherine's memory.
