Cynthia Riker Obituary

NAPLES, FL - Cynthia Marino Riker, beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Dolly Marino, passed away peacefully on July 30. Wife of the late Thomas Riker , Cynthia lived a life defined by love, generosity, and tireless dedication to her family and community.

A graduate of Westerly High School, Cynthia went on to earn a teaching degree from Eastern Connecticut State College. Her passion for children and education was a central theme throughout her life. Whether in the classroom or at home with her own children and grandchildren, Cynthia's nurturing spirit was ever-present. She was a tireless volunteer in every school her children and grandchildren attended, often creating and leading new programs with enthusiasm and care.

With a special love for Cape May, NJ, they embarked on a new adventure as innkeepers. Cynthia thrived in this role, welcoming guests with warmth and using her creative talents for serving guests and interior design .Many of their guests became lifelong friends, touched by Cynthia's gracious and thoughtful presence.

In their later years, Cynthia and Tom retired to Marco Island and eventually settled in Naples, Florida. Family remained their top priority, and together they planned countless memorable trips with their cherished grandchildren always at the center. Cynthia delighted in every shared experience.

In Naples, she became a devoted member of her church community, organizing major fundraising events and actively supporting the mission of the Christian Womens Organization .

She formed and led a valuable book discussion group for over 16 years .

Cynthia is survived by her loving daughters, Kristen Vance (Steven) and Lauren Woods (Randy), her sister Carol, her brother Frank (Michele), and three adoring grandchildren: Ryker, Mason, and Addie.

Those who knew Cynthia will remember her boundless energy, kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for children. Her eye for detail and passion for creating joy in the lives of others left a lasting impact.

Her light shone brightly throughout her life, and those who cherished her will carry that light forward with love and gratitude.
