I was thinking about Dee Dee and wondering what she was up to this evening. Sadly, I found her obituary. Dee Dee was my neighbor in White Plains and the only other resident board member. Together we navigated through the worst market downturn in the 1980's. She and I were the very first owners of condos in a brand new condo complex. When the building wasn't even a quarter of the way sold, the builder of our new condo building went bankrupt. The bank took it over, and then it went bankrupt. Eventually the FDIC took control. I remember us meeting with the NY State's Attorney General in NYC to make sure our condo fees would be paid by them.

Dee Dee had a beautiful art gallery in downtown White Plains. She frames numerous art pieces of mine as well as my NY and CT bar certificates.
My husband and I lost touch with her when we moved to Connecticut. I will always remember her fondly, especially her spunky spirit. We had a lot of fun together despite all the challenges we faced.
God Bless you Dee Dee. See you on the other side!
