Frances Cox Obituary
Frances worked as a waitress for The Bean Counter in Westerly and was a devoted wife and mother. She also had a deep affection for dogs.
In addition to her husband Bradley, she will be dearly missed by her daughter, Amanda Lusa of Warren, NH, and two sons, Travis Cox of Colorado Springs, CO and William Cox of San Diego, CA; three siblings, Michael Johnson, Jr. of Ashaway, and Kathleen Paradis and Colleen Rogers, both of Norwich, CT. Frances also leaves behind her two grandchildren, Maria and Vincent Blanchette, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Michael Johnson, Sr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at Our Lady of Victory Church, 169 Main St., Ashaway. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Frances' memory. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in care of the arrangements. Please accept my deepest sympathy upon hearing of Fran's passing. Nick and I are both sad but also grateful she is in heaven with her past dogs who all met her at the Rainbow Bridge and in the arms of her father. Don't hesitate to call or stop by, I'm just across the street. We will always speak of her as "Aunt Friendly" as Nick referred to her for years. God bless.
