Joan Frances Wilson

Joan Frances (Magaldi) Wilson, 87, formerly of Roslindale, MA, Mystic and North Stonington, died Sunday, May 21, 2017, at St. Patrick's Manor in Framingham, MA.
Beloved wife of 56 years of (John) Allen Wilson and much loved mother of her daughters Arlene Gelormini and her husband, Ray, of Norfolk, MA and Susan Magnarella and her husband, Louis, of Gainesville, FL. Cherished grandmother of Kyle Gelormini and his wife, Kara, Corey Gelormini and his wife, Pam, Craig Gelormini and his wife, Lisa, Marc Magnarella and his wife, Carly and Courtney Magnarella: loving great-grandmother of Anna, Jason, Eric, Jack, Luke and Ellie and many nieces and nephews. Born in Boston, MA, on September 30, 1929, Joan was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Vaccaro) Magaldi. She was predeceased by her beloved siblings, Marguerite Rosenberg, Isabelle "Molly" Thomas, Clarinda Carroll and Phillip "Bud" Magaldi.
Joan loved raising her family. With her gentle and loving ways, Joan was a friend to all. She enjoyed eating lobster rolls, playing Scrabble and reading. She was a cancer survivor and took pride in volunteering at Uncas on the Thames. She was secretary for Circle Finance Co. in Westerly for several years.
We thank those that lovingly took care of Joan at St. Patrick's Manor, Billerica Crossings and Mystic Academy.
Her family will receive friends and relatives Saturday, May 27th from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at the Mystic Funeral Home on Route 1 in Mystic. A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m., at St. Thomas More Church, 87 Mystic Rd., (Route 201), North Stonington. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly, R.I.
