Joseph Morrone Obituary
Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Italiano) Morrone.
He graduated from the Immaculate Conception School, Westerly High School, Bryant College and URI.
Joe had been employed by General Dynamics as Design Supervisor in piping.
He enjoyed playing men's softball, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, and he loved to sing and dance. He enjoyed gardening and kept a beautiful garden. He loved his family and in turn he was loved by all of them.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Joseph Morrone III and his wife Charisse of Wakefield; his three daughters, Cheryl Morrone of Westerly, Pamela Morrone and her husband Dave Saxton of North Stonington and Cynthia Morrone of Westerly. He also leaves his children, Ricky Joseph and his wife Georgina, of Georgia, Karen Wilson and her husband David a of Mystic, and Jamie Joseph and his wife Stewart of Stonington; and grandchildren, Morgan Morrone, Amanda Simas and her husband David, Joseph and Jon Tasca, and Andrew Logan and SSgt. Emily Logan, Ryan Quattromani, Nicholas, Kaitlyn and Brayton Wilson, Joshua and Bailey Joseph, and Chase Rowe. He also leaves a brother, Albert Morrone and his wife Patricia of Westerly; his sister-in-law, Barbara Donath and her husband Edward of Mystic; his aunt, Rose Shepherd of Pawcatuck; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy, which will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Michael the Archangel Church, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck. There is no procession from the funeral home to the church. Burial will be in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joe's memory be made either to Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut, 227 Dunham St., Norwich, CT 06360 or to Kidney Patients of Westerly (KPOW), 1 Rhody Drive, Westerly, RI 02891.

Dear Beverly and Family,
I am so sorry to read of Joe's passing. He was such a jolly man and made me laugh everytime I saw him. He was so very well liked by everyone. I now live in New Hampshire, so won't be attending the funeral. My Prayers are with him and you all.
