Peter Andrew Lamb

1964 - 2021

Peter Andrew Lamb, of Pawcatuck, CT, passed from this world into eternal peace at Yale New Haven Hospital on Sep 13th, 2021, with angels in the room. He was flown there by LifeStar from the Westerly Hospital on Aug 15th, after he stopped breathing at his home.
Peter was born at the Westerly Hospital on April 15th, 1964, the third and youngest son to Carl & Nancy Lamb. He grew up in Pawcatuck, graduating from St Michael School (1978) and Stonington High School (Class of '82). Pete loved all sports, and was an exceptional baseball & basketball player... in high school, in Little League, and in various community leagues, winning many championship trophies throughout the years.
He moved to Tampa, Florida in 1988, where he met his future wife Kathleen Staubs. They were married in 1990 and raised two sons together, Tyler & Zachary Lamb, making their residence in Spring Hill, FL. He involved his sons in all sports and often was a coach on their teams. During his time in FL, Pete worked at various manufacturing companies, including Accuform Signs, Day Metal Products, and Gale Insulation as a machine operator, fabricator, and installer, respectively.
With his sons following their own paths, and his wife eventually moving to Jacksonville to care for her ailing mother, Peter moved back to CT in 2012 to start a new chapter of his life. He was employed at the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center, before accepting a job at Fibrelite Corp. When Fibrelite relocated to SC, Pete began a career with Darlington Fabrics, and remained with them until an injury forced him to leave in Dec 2020.
Pete was a fun-loving, generous man who would do anything for anyone in need. He was a good friend to many, and a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Lamb (Jacksonville FL); son Tyler Lamb & partner Alicia Lewis (Pawcatuck, CT), son Zachary Lamb & wife Kimberly (San Antonio, TX); stepson Marcus Staubs (Wesley Chapel, FL) and stepdaughter Amy Tullet (London, England); his loving mother Nancy Lamb and brother Stephen Lamb (Pawcatuck, CT), brother David Lamb (Mystic, CT); and grandchildren Jordan, Annaleah & Abrianna Lamb (San Antonio) and Katie & Payton Lamb (Pawcatuck). In addition, he will be dearly missed by many relatives & friends, along with all of those who've offered their loving support to our family during this difficult time. You are all very special to us.
Peter was predeceased by his father and #1 fan, Carl Lamb (in 2017), stepson Paul Staubs (in 2019), and numerous loving friends and relatives who passed before him.
Visiting hours are omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Michael Church, 60 Liberty Street, Pawcatuck, CT, on Saturday, Sep 25th at 10:00 am. A private interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Stonington, at the convenience of the family. If desired, donations in Peter's memory may be made to St.
Michael's School or to St. Michael's Church Capital Campaign Fund
