Thomas Orlando Obituary
He was married to Darlene (Clausius) Orlando and has three children, Thomas L. Orlando, Lawrence W. Orlando and Christine S. Crowley; two daughters-in-law, Myrna Orlando and Dianne Orlando; and one son-in-law Christopher Crowley.
Tom worked in construction, for loan companies and many years in banking, but he was happiest as a son, brother, best friend, husband, "Dad" and proud "Papa" to three grandchildren whom he loved very much, Rachel Orlando and Sean and Brendan Crowley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. Burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck will follow. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is in charge of the arrangements. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. Michael Capital Campaign, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck, CT 06379 in Tom's memory. Tommy, Larry and family,
Please accept my deepest and most heartfelt condolences. I, also, have recently faced "the circle of life" and its challenges with the loss of my mother a few weeks ago. Moreover, many of our friends, growing up, have lost their parents and/or have died early themselves.
Tom and Larry . . . your dad lived a long and prosperous life. From seeing "you all" grow into adulthood, having your own families, to having grandchild . .. your parents have seen it all.
Hold dearly those memories from years gone by . . . may these give you strength moving forward. Remember to "pay it forward" to the next generation/s . . . so they to, have memories for their children to remember.
