She is survived by her son, Joseph R. Mixie, and his wife, Sandra, of Milford and a daughter, Margaret J. Sposato, and her husband, Joe, of Idaho. Other survivors include six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews as well as friends who were like family to Bruna. She was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph and Armand, and sisters, Emma DiMauro, Rita Collea and Ada Troupe.

Bruna will be sadly missed by the Luzzi Family. She was a welcoming face for each of our children as they grew up in the Dunn's Corner Church family...at the daycare, after-school care and on Sundays. Bruna always had a big smile and a warm hug to offer. Always in a great mood...a wonderful example of "the cup is half full" attitude!

I miss seeing Bruna on her daily walks to Walmart. Sometimes she'd come up from behind in the store, give us a whack on the arm, and say, "Hullo, McGee!" What a character! God bless you, Bruna - you gave us all lots of love.

Dear Joe,Margie and families;
I was so sorry to read of your Mother's death in the Westerly Sun this morning. Bruna was such a vital part of the Dunns Corners Church when I moved back to Westerly with my family. I will always remember how warm and friendly she was as well as her fun loving nature. I have not spent a lot of time in Westerly since my Mother died, but whenever I did attend church...there would be Bruna with that infectious smile to share with all.
Keeping all of you in our prayers.
With love, Joyce (McCollough) Cook

Grandma Bruna will be missed by many. We will never take for granted the generosity and love she gave. She was a priceless neighbor and friend. I will never forget the first time I met Bruna. We were still moving into our house when she stopped by with candy and a vase filled with daffodils from her yard. I thanked her and told her how nice it was of her to stop by. She laughed and said Oh all the neighbors did this for me when I moved in. I thought how nice, When did you move in? Oh, about 40 or something years ago! Bruna continued to show up at the door with dinners for the family, flowers, candy for the kids, quilts and crafts made with love, or just for conversation. She brought so much love to the kids and I know she made a wonderful lasting impression on their lives. Thankful to have been a part of hers. We miss you!
