Ashley Rebecca Mayes

Mayes Ashley Rebecca (Flake) Mayes, age 35, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on August 7, 2015 in her home, surrounded by her loving family, assured in death that her Redeemer lives. She was preceded in death by her grandparents George and Irene Haas and Marvin and Janice Flake. She is survived by her husband, Gary; beloved 4 year-old daughter, Abigail Irene; mother and step-father, Debbie and Scott Bassman; father, John Flake; sister, Jessica Flake; and niece, Winter Lily Daoust. She is also survived by her loving extended family, Rebecca Taulbee, Maria Jane Mayes and the Mayes and Dozier families, Sharon Geer and the Geer and Bassman families. Ashley attended Christian Life Center in Beavercreek, where she had many cherished friends, as well as the Barnum Home Church of Xenos Christian Fellowship and Columbus. She was a Girl Scout for most of her childhood and High School years in Centerville, Ohio, and made several lifelong friends there. A memorial gathering will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME BEAVERCREEK, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, OH 45432.
