My time working with DR is irreplaceable and was a privilege. He was a lighting guru and taught me well. Rock on DR to that Harley in the sky.

I will always remember DR. When I was just a young kid out of Grad school(1982), DR saw potential in me and gave me my first shot in the Commercial Photography field. He gave me the skills to start my own photography business and I carry his influence to this day. We worked, traveled and got into trouble together for many years. We didn't always agree on everything but he was my friend. We lost touch when he moved away but stories of him still continue to be passed around. When I recently heard of his passing it brought back so many memories. I miss the great parties but not so much the box wine. I will get his Ingalnuc French Columbard and a Shereman tonight and make a toast. I will miss you my friend. May the Poodle Angles keep you warm. Much Thanks,
Scott Hutchings

So very many great times and memories with DR I just don't where to start. DR taught me how to soup my first roll of 35mm film, got me involved playing Rugby with Scioto Valley RFC and always could brighten any day with his wonderful smile and laughter.
RIP Old Buddy

DEAR DR, I loved you. All the talent, all the craziness, all the joy of life you brought to everyone and including me. The poodle roasts, the love of poodles "big ones" and the images you created are always in my memories. XXOO

Very sad loss of my photography mentor & friend.
Some of my greatest DR memories:
-Traveling the country shooting for The Limited.
-Stopping over in Chicago for a "Blues Fix".
-A fashion shoot in St. Kitts with Bergitt and her monkey.
So many great experiences!
Cheers,
Bbarr

.....and, lest we forget, a stalwart wing-forward for O.S.U.R.F.C. during its formative years. Here's to the memory of many gallons of quality white wine, the many boxes of Nate Sherman's, the fabulous parties at the shoe factory and, its most creative and always fascinating host D.R.!

I am so sorry to hear of DR's passing. I last saw him at the birthday party in the South End, but he was a good email correspondent. My condolences to his family and many close friends.

DR,
Your life wasn't a sad loss, your life was a series of parties. I remember the first poodle roast on Alden Ave in 1974. And then there was the Mardi Gras in 1986 at the studio with the Creole Funk Band; big, big fun.
We took off from Rickenbacker and flew to Cleveland, visited my grandfather, we flew to Detroit to the Henry Ford Museum. We went to New York in Steve Skilken's plane and went to the Jazz Fest on New Orleans. Of course there was St. Martins and St. Barts Mardi Gras 1991 with Dickie Dick. More fun than you can have with your clothes on.
Then there was the German Village Dodge Ram Van Club with Larry Hamill and me. Photos of buildings and babes at the Cultural Arts Center with DR Goff. The helicopter outing at Darby Dan Farms.
A sad loss...no way. The World according to Goff says "Party on, in heaven or hell."
