Eric Conrad Newkirk

1957 - 2017

Newkirk Eric Conrad Newkirk was born on November 27, 1957. He departed this life on May 8, 2017. Eric earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College in Michigan. In addition, he earned a Masters in Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Photography from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. Eric was a gifted photographer for over thirty years. He also worked for various Talent agencies and his professional expertise included photographic illustration. Eric's professional interest were varied and also included expertise in the culinary arts. He was a graduate of Avignon Cooking School in France. Finally, Eric distinguished himself as a certified outdoor emergency care responder. In addition, he was a proud member of The National Ski Patrol and served as a dedicated and outstanding volunteer at Mad River Mountain Ski Resort. He was a car enthusiast and collector of exotic, and classic automobiles. Eric is preceded in death by his father Dr. Ernest M. Newkirk, brother Dr. Ernest M. Newkirk ll. He is survived by his loving wife, Trish; daughter, Elayna; and his beloved dog, Bella. Eric is also survived by his devoted mother, Edna Newkirk; sisters, Erina Newkirk (John Davern), Marla Delgado; and brother, Dr. Miguel Delgado, II (Becky); nephews, Remington James and Connor Newkirk, Miguel Delgado lll; and niece, Ashley Delgado. Eric was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Eric will be profoundly missed however, his legacy of love and integrity will serve as a continued source of strength for everyone that loved and admired him. Eric's remarkable life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 4 p.m. at the Linworth United Methodist Church, 7071 Bent Tree Blvd., Columbus, Ohio 43235.
