Danny Sisemore Obituary

born in Vallejo, California, February 24, 1944 and passed away in Ferndale, California, October 5, 2011. He was a respected and loved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Onie Sisemore and Opal Barada, a sister, Lucille Clark and a brother, James Bunker. He is survived by his loving wife Carol Sisemore and also by Lou Ann Adkins, the mother of his three children; Danny is also survived by his three children, Robyn Sisemore, Penny Sisemore and Danny Sisemore Jr. and stepdaughter Amanda Parker and her husband Michael Parker. He was cherished by his many brothers and sisters. Leon Sisemore, Judy Carman, Mary Galindo, John Sisemore, Ray Sisemore, Nancy Potter, Ron Bunker, Shirley Talamantes and Carolyn Bailey. Grandchildren, Jasa and Drew Sisemore, Rachael Stelling, Elijah Furia, Gabriella Gonzalez, Cole and Carson Parker. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many other virtual family members he chose to adopt and love throughout his active life. Danny passed with calluses on his hands, plans on his mind and love in his heart. He was a master welder, teacher, talented artist and sculptor. Time was the only barrier against making all of his dreams come true. He would often say that, "If I can dream it, I can make it happen." And, he did just that, again and again during his eclectic life. Dan was a long time, staunch, supporter and active member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He was a U S Navy veteran serving in the Pacific. A memorial service reception will be held at 1200 p.m., Saturday, October 15 at the Veterans Memorial Hall, 1100 Main Street, Ferndale CA 95536. Thank you to all. My Dad was my best friend. He taught me so much and was always my biggest fan. I miss him everyday and I try and make him proud always. My children loved their papa and we share many laughs on the character that my dad was. Unique person. Not always politically correct...but always treated everyone on equal grounds. His heart and emotions I was given. He called me his hero....but my hero was always him. Not for what he did or his parenting....it was his unique soul that he had love for the ones that needed it most....even perfect strangers.
Love you dad and I know you are with me.
