Dennis Merle Fairless

Our prayers and thoughts go out to Dennis Merle Fairless who passed away on Tuesday, 7/12/11 around 6pm at Rideout Hospital In Marysville CA. Dennis was born on June 21, 1948 in Lincoln, CA. He was 63 yrs old. Dedicating most of his life to mountain living, Dennis loved residing in Humbolt Co. He took genuine pleasure in the outdoors. He fished the Eel River, hunted elk and deer, which he enjoyed eating, sharing, or trading for trinkets from the local Native American Indians who lived in Humbolt County. He fancied motorcycles from Harleys to dirt bikes. Having a truly artistic hand, many of his gifts were chainsaw sculpted. He was extremely fond of his dogs, taking them everywhere with him when he could. He was a very friendly person, always making friends. He is survived by 4 children, Shawnee Alfinito of Campbell, CA, Shannon Roddewig of Mesa, AZ, Sheila Bafus of Prineville, OR, and Colleen Fairless of Eureka, CA. He leaves 6 grandchildren as well.
