Isabella was a regular customer at my shop in Old Town - Yarn. She took several of my knitting classes and would often stop by to say hello at Arts Alive. Another customer and friend of Isabella's told me today of her passing. I'm so saddened by this news. Isabella was always such a warm and positive person. I enjoyed getting to know her over the past couple of years and I will miss her. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Dear Bob, Jon and Katie,
I never met you escept through Isabella who loved you all ery much. I met Isabella when she was a long time volunteer at Planned Parenthood. We all followed her teaching career, her marriage, her first "pre-home" in Kneeland (the later on garage), and the births of her children. She was very especially, kind and had a wonderful sense of humor. I consider her my long time friend and always enjoyed meeting her at the gym or later when she worked fo Nilsen. Everyone will miss her, especially you, her family.

Isabella was the sweetest, kindest person I ever met. She always had a smile & positive thing to say. We carpooled for several years while she taught at East High and I was at Fortuna High. After I moved to England we kept in touch & met every summer for lunch with Joni Branstetter & this summer would have been our 25th luncheon. I will miss her sweet smile & personality & feel blessed to have been her friend. My heart goes out to Bob, Jon, & Katie.

Dear Bob, Katie and Jon,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I always enjoyed running into Isabella on the road, at the mailbox or in town. It was always good to catch up with what was new and hear about what the kids were up to. She was always a delight to talk to and she will be deeply missed by everyone. All our heartfelt sympathies. I remember first meeting Isabella while attending Humboldt State University. Although we
had different majors we had mutual friends. We had fun beach and rivers outings together. We also shared a 6 bedroom house off campus. With a bunch of guys in the house, dirty dishes piled up that none admitted to using, and people came and went on their own schedules. But when Isabella was cooking a pie or something else delish, it had a way of bringing the household together. Isabella first introduced Bob at a party near campus. They were both glowing and Isabella later shared she had found "the one". Through the years, I admired the beautiful life they have had together--the home they built, proud parents of two great young adults Isabella, I will remember your joyful disposition, your welcoming smile and laugh, and will cherish our years of friendship always.

I was so honored and blessed to be part of Isabella, Bob, Jon and Katie's lives. SO HONORED to care for Isabella's babies. I will always remember Katie as a beautiful baby and Jon the cute little blond haired shy honey. ISABELLA a strong proud mother. HER children were her heart.

I met Isabella at Peninsula School. She was an integral member of the staff, and touched all that were lucky enough to get to know her. Although I will not be able to attend the service, I offer my heartfelt condolences to her family, and assure you that her smile and friendship touched us all deeply.

She was an incredible woman, sympathetic, determined, kind and wise. To say she will be missed is only to realize the paucity of language in describing a person, or the sense of loss one must endure when such a great soul leaves us.
For all those - who studied with her, or who had the great fortune to know her, I can only offer my sincerest condolences. Isabella's life is one we can all aspire to. She will be greatly missed.

Thinking of Isabella has always made us smile. She has given us fun memories, lots of laughter and great kindness. Like Gracie Allen with George Burns, Bella was adept at setting up Bob for the dry punch-line. I find myself crying, think of a memory and then I smile. Thanks Bella.

Isabella and I met in high school Spanish class. I soon learned that she was tri-lingual and I loved to listen to her speak with her mom, even though I could not understand a word of Polish. When I visited Is in college, she taught me to take care of my health by leading me on a jog through the beautiful redwoods. I have been jogging ever since.
We shared a love of the outdoors and worked together as camp counselors one summer. But Is was much more adventurous than I. In college, she ventured to Alaska for a summer job in the canneries and then spent time on a farm in Scotland. I admired her for her enthusiasm for life.
Isabella did me the honor of serving as Maid of Honor in my wedding and a few years later, I flew across the country to be at her wedding. We have kept in touch across the miles ever since, visiting each other throughout the years. She was a kind, loving, generous friend and I will cherish her memory forever.

Isabella lived with our family for a year when our children were young. She was delightful to be around and helped raise our children while she was studying at Humboldt State. We join Bob and her children and her many friends in mourning her loss.

Bob, what a beautiful tribute to a beautiful woman! I am thankful for all of the love, laughs and friendship that I enjoyed with Isabella during our times together. I will miss her at our "Freshwater Moms" Tuesday night get togethers at Rita's, that Isabella was always organized for us so that we could keep in touch with each other in this crazy, busy world. We will continue on in Isabella's memory, and will share a margarita in her honor at our next gathering.
Isabella loved her family above all else, and was so proud of all of her children's accomplishments, and the fact that they turned out to be such wonderful people. Her love for you, Bob, was strong and obvious each time that she spoke of you or we saw the two of you together.
Isabella leaves a wonderful legacy for her family and friends, and we are each blessed to have had her in our lives. Good bye my friend...you will be greatly missed!
