Jo Roessler Obituary

passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday May 23rd surrounded by her loving family. Jo was born July 22nd 1949 to Charles and Cindy Pence in King City, Ca. She was a strong single parent of Rick and Madonna until meeting her love Bruce in 1971. They moved to Humboldt county were they had a daughter Cici. Jo loved nothing more than gardening, being with her Family and going on picnics with her daddy (Bruce). We will always cherish the time we shared with Grammy Jo. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Darrell Bruce Roessler, Brother Art and Debra Pence of Idaho, Sister in law Debbie and Patrick Duffin of Norco, Ca, Daughter Sidney (cici) and Robert Torgersen of Eureka, Son Richard Roessler of Eureka and Daughter Madonna Williams of Las Vegas. Grandchildren Brett, Samuel and Jacob Torgersen. Larissa, Irish and Kendall Roessler. Ida, Christopher, Curtis and Jakar Williams. Great Grandchildren Sierra leone, Shayla, An'dre and Terrence Tyrell. Special thank you to Dr. Lemon , Rose and all the staff at Eureka Internal Medicine and Infusion. Hospice of Humboldt. To our Hospice team Scott, Nick, Wayne, Dr. John and Robby to whom made it possible to get and keep mom comfortable. You are all so amazing. Jo loved each of you. Thank you to all our family and friends who gave us the strength and support to help mom on her journey. She will forever smile down on all of us. Family and Friends are invited to a potluck to celebrate Jo's life on July 22nd , 2012 from 1 to 5pm at the Eureka Veterans Memorial Building 1020 H St. In lieu of flowers please donate to Hospice of Humboldt, 2018 Myrtle Ave, Eureka, Ca 95501. To all of the Roessler family, I was blessed to get to know and be showered by Jo's love and generosity. They don't come like that too often. Her presence is so big that I think anyone who ever met her will carry her around in their heart for a long time to come. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Auntie Jo, where do I begin? You never let me down, were always there when I needed you. And Thankfully, I was able to tell you all of that.
