Joseph Jerome Tetrault

passed away unexpectedly on October 4, 2011. Jerry was born in Spokane, WA, June 10, 1936 to Wilfred (Spud) and Donna Tetrault. He was lucky to have the opportunity to move to Eureka in 1962 to join his father in his new petroleum business. During the next years, father and son added service stations, car washes, tires, automotive repairs and service. Jerry was often heard saying that the Tetrault Company employees were his family and treated them as such. The last few months found Jerry constantly by the side of his wife, Nina, as she waged her successful battle with cancer. They made a great team. All those who knew Jerry well knew about his passion for motorcycles and traveling down the highway towards Garberville on a beautiful afternoon. Jerry is survived by his wife, Nina, sons Mark and Sean Tetrault and family, and sons Ed and Glen Jones and families. Funeral viewing is scheduled at Sanders Funeral Home, Monday, Oct 10, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct 11, 2011 at 1:00 PM at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 615 H Street, Eureka. A Celebration of Life will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Jerry's honor to Miranda's Rescue, the Humane Society, or the Cancer Society.
