Leonard Daniels Obituary

LEONARD DANIELS Leonard George Daniels, born February 25, 1958 in Fort Bragg, Calif., passed June 30, 2018 at Shasta Regional Medical Center in Redding, Calif. A memorial quarter mile pass will be held on Saturday Aug. 25 around noon at Samoa Dragstrip, Samoa, Calif. Services will be held on Saturday Sept. 29 at 12:00 PM at Rose Memorial Park, Fort Bragg, Calif.; celebration of life will follow at Crown Hall, Mendocino, Calif. Leonard spent his life as a commercial fisherman. He loved spending his time working on classic cars and was passionate about drag racing with his family. He was a humble, gentle, caring all-around good guy. He was loved by all who met him, will be missed by all who knew him and be thought of every quarter mile by those who've raced him. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, father, friend and the best grandfather ever. Leonard is survived by his sisters, Linda and Robin; children, Curtis and Preston; grandchildren, Shyla, Jordan and Mason; nephews, Arron and Jesse; nieces, Autumn and Dorothy; in addition to numerous family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Judy; child, Dillon; nephew, Wiley. For more information, contact Arron Daniels at (707) 502-1970. Sending love and prayers to the entire family! Leonard was most certainly a kind and gentle soul. I'm so glad I got to know him well and he will always be remembered with love! I had such fun times diving, fishing and hanging out with him at his mom and dad's place in Mendocino.
