My deepest condolences to the Bernardo family. Manuel was like a step dad to me. We got to really know each other from him bringing his vehicle in for some cosmetic repairs at my facility. He would always come pull up a chair, tell us stories of his fishing store that he had, and stories about his friends, and his smile was contagious. He would bring us frozen fish from his locker that he had stuffed full in Loleta, and every now and then some fresh smoked salmon. He was always happy whenever he got to bring us surf fish, and apples. I'm so sad to hear of his passing, and may his memories live on in each and every one of us that he was able to share his life with.
