Margaret Mary Hepburn passed away on June 23, 2005, in Arcata, CA, at the age of 88.
Mom was born on September 22, 1916, in the Bronx, New York City. After marrying my Dad, Edward Hepburn in 1939, she and Dad moved to Cologne, New Jersey, to farm and raise a family. Mom gave birth to three children; my brother Edward, my sister Ann and me, Robert.
My Mom worked hard most of her life. My Mom’s life had a purpose. It was to love all creation and to help alleviate suffering in this world. Mom was a loving caregiver for both her own Father and her husband, until their deaths. I grew up watching Mom feed the wild birds and take in stray dogs and cats. She saved her present dog “Lucky” from being abused. Mom was always there for others in their time of need.
Mom loved us children equally with all her heart. When I think of Mom, I feel Mom’s love. Mom, your soul is beautific. Mom, your spirit is now back to the source of all creation. You have rejoined Dad and your daughter Ann in the Great Peace. Someday I will join you there too Mom. Mom, you will always be my guiding star. Mama, you were always my angel. You are my angel ascended now. Mom, you will always be with me in my heart. I love you eternally, your son Rob.
Margaret is survived by her two sons, Edward and his wife Shirley and Robert; her sister, Ann; her grandchildren, Stacey, Danny and Timmy O’Shea, Lisa, Cheryl and Kelly Hepburn and Darlene Horton; her great grandchildren, Holly and Lily Ann Bonomo, Tyler and Cole Hughues, Christina Pascale, Sean and Jessica Yeats and Jeffrey Horton; her nieces and nephews, John Hepburn, Harold, Edward and Margaret Martin, Edward, Joann, Barbara and Joseph Enright.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Hepburn; her daughter, Ann; and her brother, Edward.
Interment will be at Laurel Memorial Park, Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Arrangements were under the direction of Paul’s Chapel, Arcata, CA.

Rob,
I want to join with you in this time of celebrating your Mom's life and peaceful influence in this world and to offer my support and love as you deal with her loss. I have always been so impressed by your love and dedication to your Mom, and I am sure her passing will leave a deep pain.
I believe that her sweet spirit will continue, indeed, already has joined with the Goodness that always surrounds us--even in these darkest political days.
Know that you can call if you need support. Peace, Barbara
