I am so sorry about Maxine's passing. I just found out or I would have tried to make it to the service. I loved her like a mother.
She was mom's best friend, so as you all know I sort of grew up with Maxine around.
Maxine always made my mom laugh and smile, I always loved that about her, made me happy when I would come home from school and her car would be parked out front, knowing mom would be in a fun mood. I will never forget the day I had just came home from college in San Diego and Maxine was over. She looked at me and told me I was so tan!! never had I ever been told that (I mean I don't tan...ever) I wanted to hug her so hard for that. I knew I wasn't that tan but she sure knew how to put a smile on my face.
I will miss her in my life, but I know she is in a much better place, watching over her family and maybe hitting some golf balls around with my mom.
Bless you all, With Love, Kathy (Hiscox) Travis, or Kathleen as she always called me.

I always enjoyed golfing with Maxine. She was a gentle spirit. I also recall we served on a jury together for a lengthly marijuana trial many moons ago. A delightful, kind person...my condolences to her loving family.
